West Texas Drifters continually looks opportunities to experience trail rides in and around the Lubbock area. Different types of terrain and outdoor exposure is paramount to help our horses become well-rounded to all environments. Most of our rides are very leisure rides and have a moderate degree of difficulty; however, the paths have options to be easy or more difficult. It is usual for us to either ride out early in the morning and conclude the ride with lunch or begin with lunch and then ride out in the afternoon.

 

Recently, we have located a phenomenal family who has graciously opened up their working ranch to us just north of Slaton, TX. We have been taking day rides and have not camped out. This option is very nice to those that are unable to be away from home for extended periods of time. As opportunities for overnight trail rides arise, we will ensure that we are entertaining the options.

​A liability waiver is required for all riders. All riders under 18 are required to have a parent or guardian present. Cost is $25/rider if we have 10 or more riders, $30/rider for less than 10 riders. RSVP is required to ensure lunch planning. We will plan a menu and request participants to contribute a part of the meal.
