Welcome to
AASP&RC District 2
District 2 is in Region 1 of the American Association of Sheriff's Posses and Riding Clubs is comprised of two local riding clubs, the Lubbock Saddle Club and West Texas Drifters Riding Club. Both Clubs are family-oriented equine clubs, who host regular monthly equine events, such as play days, trail riding, youth series, and more.
The two clubs come together once a month to play day, alternating their arenas.
Please see the website www.aasprc.net for more information regarding the AASP&RC.
We participate in local play days, parades, grand entries, trail rides, sortings and barrel races. We welcome riders of all experience levels to come out and ride with us!
Our arena is located just north of FM 41 on CR 2300 in South Lubbock, approximately 2 miles west of Highway 87 (also known as the Tahoka Highway).
Our Monthly Business Meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at Rustic Furniture Warehouse, located at 2828 34th Street, Lubbock, Texas. (Thank you, Denise Fuhrman!) District 2 meetings will begin at 6:30 pm and will last about 30-45 minutes.) All members are invited to attend and voice their opinion, but only the (2) delegates from each club and the District 2 Officers may vote, with the exception of the President, who only votes in the case of a tied vote.
All regular members, who are in good standing with each Club, are invited to attend.
(The District 2 meetings are immediately followed by the monthly meeting for West Texas Drifters Riding Club.)
Our Annual Business Meeting is always held in November. Officer Elections and By-Law changes will take place at the annual November meeting.
